Eden Air (Auckland, New Zealand)

Eden Air is an air conditioning contactor, with 6 techs in the field and a part time person in the office. Shane McGurk, the owner, was finding that sloppy and tardy paperwork from the techs was a serious problem, trapping him in the office and slowing down invoicing.

With SmartTrade, the paperwork problems are thing of the past, and Shane can spend more time out on the job. When the office is not manned, customer calls are diverted to Shane’s mobile phone. If a customer is requesting work to be done, he opens a new job on his PDA and then reassigns it to the appropriate tech. Shane either calls or texts the tech, who downloads the job.

The techs complete the jobs and their timesheets on their PDAs, and then sync the completed paperwork back to the office. The jobs are matched with supplier invoices, some of which are downloaded from suppliers, the jobs invoiced and the invoices downloaded to MYOB.
