It depends on the model of the PDA:

  • With newer models running Windows Mobile 5 or 6, the data is saved in non-volatile memory, so when the PDA is fixed or the battery recharged, it can be accessed.
  • With older models, the data is stored in volatile memory, so any changes made since the last sync will be lost. If users are concerned about this issue, SmartTrade can reconfigure some models to make the data save in non-volatile memory.

The best safeguard is to sync regularly.
